There are various other walks based on the Canal in the vicinity which are signposted and/or described in publications:-

The Planekeepers Path

NB Due to boardwalk damage, the Plane Keepers Path is now closed with leaflets currently withdrawn.

Canal and Coast Walk

This leaflet is also unfortunately no longer available.

This signposted walk links the Tamar Lakes with the South West Coast Path north of Bude. It is a very scenic walk with much of historic interest to see. NB some lengths of this walk may be muddy after rain. Length one way approximately 6½ miles.

Bude Valley Walks

An informative leaflet produced by Devon County Council, is still available from Holsworthy TIC but some of the pricing information and ’other walk information’ is superseded by the two  closures above and lack of leaflets
