Canal Walks
Canal Walks
The towpath along most of the length of the Trust’s section of the canal, between Tamar Lake and Burmsdon Bridge, is all Public Footpath, a total of approximately 4.5 miles/7.2km. The 0.5 miles/0.8km the Trust owns beyond the bridge is a permissive path.

The tranquillity of the path and the rural scenery with the wildlife and flowers make for an enjoyable walk.

Several leaflets are available which describe the towpath walk and the history, as well as other nearby canal-related walks.
